Photo Editing Software – Pixlr

If you’re like me, you’re always looking for tools that you can use on the fly to either edit or create new graphics and images.  Today we will be adding Pixlr.com to our arsenal.

Pixlr is one of my favorite tools, I’ve been using it for a few years now  – it’s a great alternative to Photoshop.  If you’re worked in Photoshop, then Pixlr will be a piece of cake – I promise.  Pixlr has similar Photoshop tools and works basically the same way. The advantage of Pixlr over Photoshop is that it is web-based and FREE {who doesn’t like FREE}.

This is what the interface looks like – very Photoshop-ish:

You can import images from  your desktop or a URL – this means that you can grab an image from any website as long as you have the image URL and you can edit the image and save it to your desktop.

I put together a short tutorial on how to use Pixlr to edit an image. You can post your questions as comments to this post.
